About The Wako

My photo
Who's too chicken to dance in public ? Who's too chicken to dip bananas in spicy sauce ? Who's too chicken to parade around with their underwear as headwear ? Not me.

Pimp's Night

Since this evening's weather has it's best intentions on drawing me into dreamland again, I'm going to go against it ! By possibly transmitting whatever energy I have left from a little sleep deprivation last night into blogging.

All hail the sacred word that hasn't been heard for a while now !

The past few weeks have been heavy but at least it knocks out a little laziness in me before the finals begin soon enough. So, I'm just going to save the slackish activities to savour during the end-year break. However, I did have a good time once again the last time I was out with my peeps especially for one of them in particular.

It was mah chinese indian attemptful best friend's 16th ! *inside joke*

George the awesomeness let us win free dessert & fried mac n' cheese !

Daniel was just more into the game than Soon's talking about waiting tables at Dave's, haha.

Yes that is actually rice under the shrimp & broccoli, nyummm

Kiru : I'm hotter than that sauce
Shar : Oooh, I like that ;)

Thank you for such a fun night Cindi ! You know we love you ! Eh, when's my salary coming in arh ? haha

Slide View

Today I had the chance to eat blueberry cakes while sipping on a cappuccino hundreds of feet above the busy roads of KL. It was rather an adventure even making it up to the elevator with the crowd of tourists. Guess that means the tourism agencies have been doing a good job haha.

They did have a large variety of foods to pick from. I definitely had a lot of fun with the diversified menu. Especially with the potatoes, like I've said before in front a crowd of 40 year olds "Potatoes are good for the soul ! " don't ask me why I said that though because ... I don't remember.

The restaurant takes about an hour to revolve a whole round presenting to you the skyline of Kuala Lumpur at it's least noisiest haha.

Yummy yummy chocolate, on my plate, in my blood.

Guess that was better Saturday then lazing at Starbucks all evening awaiting a Tom Cruise to walk pass by. :D

To Remember & Remind

Many people might not take Mother's Day as seriously as their own birthdays. And even if you think your appreciating your mom every day of the year, it would be still nice to remind her of your love by spending some good time with her. Celebrate along with the rest of the world by at least offering a big tight hug.

For this year, it was my uncle's idea to take mommy out for lunch. A little last minute but I managed to make reservations at TGIF's earlier that morning. It's been ages since we went there ! *eversince uncle moved out. He's a fan of the place, haha.*

Some nacho fajitas & the Friday's three for all. The potato skins are so nyummy. I like covering it with all three pastes. Everyone should try it ! :o

On the left we have a bowl of lovely greens, the Chicken Bbq Salad. On the right we have our special Chicken & Shrimp Diablo which always taste fantastic and leaves you wanting for more.

She'll only be able to celebrate Mother's Day NEXT year. ;D

By the time we were done emptying the plates everyone seriously had enough of cheese for the month. Haha. Which is why I say " Get the damn Coke ! ". :D

Sixteen years of being and your not too bad at it. Haha.
Happy Mother's Day, ma !

Location Doesn't Excist For Dance

I had a little gathering on the first of May since I was turning sixteen that night. And before I get into the party, thank you everyone for your wishes ! I really appreciate it.

The guests started arriving at about 8:15pm. Unusually punctual Malaysians. Haha. Soon, Ashmeera & me however were there two hours earlier to decorate the place a little and get last minute things sorted out. I get invited to parties a lot but don't throw many of myself so I did need the helping hands.

The guy's did the barbequeing. The chicken, shrimp & fish were fantastic guys !

Several shrimps just fell in between the grills and got burned to ashes. Haha.

Awh, I got fruit puncheddddddd.

It did taste nice though. Like papaya & honeydew juice with a little sizzle thanks to 7up.

Shall all peace in the world gather tonight supporting harmony of the world, raise your two fingers with us !

We had our little karaoke session too. Didn't have much music collection to choose from since I was such a rush before the party started. But Lady Gaga was naturally the best for the night.

Walk walk fashion baby, work it- Banana ? Shar. xD

We were just dancing EVERYWHERE. Outside of the house, on the way to the lake, at the dock of the lake. Hypering rules. Haha.

That cupcakes were so lovely. :"D

The party ended well past midnight after I cut the cake. Thank you so much everyone, once again. It's you guys that made this special and for that I'm grateful to call such beautiful people like you, my friends.

Lay Off The Wings

Yesterday, a couple of my friends were ordering McD's for dinner. And when I stated I wanted a Fish-O-Fillet, I got the funniest reactions from them. Haha. This is something foreign to many people. I don't blame them for thinking "You don't eat chicken ? You nuts ?". Almost 60% of Asian dishes are based on chicken. But the reason I don't eat much anymore is 'cause I've just heard that nowadays the chickens raised on big-time farms are just injected with hormones to increase sales massively in much shorter period. Which doesn't sound the safest, right ?

So, our dinner arrives than we start comparing the nutrition facts off the packaging. And ... almost everything off their cheeseburgers were twice compared to mine -including protein, fat & what not. O-O

I'm not raising some kind of "Save the Chickens" campaign. But by managing your own health indirectly, you can help the people who are part of this cause by cutting down on some cluck cluck. Let me say that one more time.

Cutting down on some cluck cluck.

Cluck cluck ?

CLUCK CLUCK.

Hahahahahahaha.

The meds are probably getting to me. So, I'm off for now ! For more in-detail explanation of the negative effects of chicken intake, there's an article by Dr Gina Shaw posted up. Just for your information, I still eat chicken over the weekends. I'm still a newbie to this. :D

Have a lovely weekend.

Not Getting High At Hilton

I was at the KL Hilton last night for my dad's college's dinner. Gave myself a pat on the back for dressing up in less than an hour too, it involved a lot of hopping from room to room with a towel on. It's a record, really !

The roads were jammed naturally just like any other Friday night. People going clubbing, people getting out of their offices, people finding something interesting to do -all of this happening in KL. Cindi arrived about 15 minutes after we got seated.

We took up so much of time camwhoring in the washroom the dinner already started by the time we got back. But seriously, the washroom was so woody it could pass for a lounge.

Couldn't resist snapping some shots at the funky chairs they had right outside of the ballroom facing part of KL. Cindi sat her favourite & I sat on my favourite ! :D

She was afraid to lean back then, possibly end up tumbling over exposing her rainbow coloured undies. Haha.

Ohhh yes, sexy poof. You know I want you. Wth, haha.

They had a lively turn up.

Good food.

And performances. That's the must-have One Malaysia dance.
*waves Jalur Gemilang with pride* Even though I was actually paying more attention to the shrimp served during that performance.

Yay, disco ball. Too bad we weren't really allowed to dance during their little multimedia presentation. Haha.

Well, wasn't that a lovely night ?

About to doze off,
Kiru.

Floral With Food

Shouldn't we be greatful that weekends excist ? The time to relax, rejuvenate and remotivate. This is why I don't mind tiring myself a little during school days. " There's still the weekend ! "

As a Malaysian, of course we treat ourselves by heading to the oh-so-famous mamaks and chit chatting for hours over a cold Teh Tarik. I'd say get out there and have some fun with the company you enjoy. Because until the term break arrives majestically it's a responsibility then we keep ourselves well maintained is my excuse to weekly shopping sprees.

Here's what I did last weekend.

Hasn't it been a while since I spent a day at The Curve ?

And yes, this was in the washroom. -___-'

I don't know what's going on in this picture. Haha. No fair, Emily posed !

Lunch at The Garden !

I bet you no one can resist dropping by without their camera. The deco at this place is just fantastic. Probably one of the reasons they included $5 just for service charge. :D

Emily, me & weird lady at the booth in the background.

Ain't that some hot shizz ? 8D

After flipping through the menu atleast over ten times, we all ordered sandwiches and shared in the end. There was just such a wide variety of food. I got the Pineapple turkey, Emily got the Garden sandwich, Cindi stole our food. Haha kiddings. Sharing is caring. <3>

Check out these camwhores abusing my 12 megapixels.

Maybe we could save the taco plans for next time yeah ? Haha. :P
