About The Wako

Who's too chicken to dance in public ? Who's too chicken to dip bananas in spicy sauce ? Who's too chicken to parade around with their underwear as headwear ? Not me.

We're Ready

Christmas passed by well and now the next string of 365 days is at the brink of beginning setting a big hand out for more happiness to endure and chaos to pull through together. But before I engage my mind into putting some thought for my new year's resolutions while sipping on a hot cup of tea, I have to ramble about my trip to Langkawi Island. Take my word on it, the place just never gets old.

We arrived at around lunch time on the 23rd, rented a car and were off to get some lunch.

He stole my Starbucks ! =___= Hehe, nothing like a cool toffee nut latte to refresh.

Awana Porto Malai is where we got rooms at. The boardwalk is their main attraction of course. I spent hours there throughout the three day trip. Feeling the breeze, setting my mind free to the breathtaking shade of light sea green that happened to present everywhere I turned. Except in my shorts.

We checked in and decided to get right down to bussiness. >: |

ISLAND HOPPING. :D *uber bimbotic tone*

The speedboat ride was bumpy but fun. One tip though, take your shades along. Hehe.

First stop, The Pregnant Maiden Lake.

This is actually the deepest lake in the whole of Malaysia but they don't stop you from going in as long you have a lifejacket on. It's also said to have some kind of magical powers to help infertile women to gain a child. So, everyone better jump in there just in case ! O_O Haha.

Ruban's Spiderman jumping pose. Told you I'm not too bad of a photographer. ;)

Omg daddeh ! NOOO. Haha.

Ruban, me & Vinod.

Second stop, eagle feeding.

We got to see some big golden eagles swooping across not too far away from our boat. I wasn't able to get some good shots out of that cause lets just say my camera just isnt meant for that kind of photography. Cybershots are best for these. :)

But, I didn't get a Cybershot ... moving on.

Last stop, this amazing beach with a very forgettable name. Haha.

I just honestly feel like we are destined for failed jumpshots. Haha. They are much more fun to look at. :D

All tired out we head back to Porto Malai only in the evening after having a drink and splashing around in the water. They had music & food at the boardwalk that night which lasted well past midnight.

The next morning, we're all up by 8am just in time for breakfast. Mom & Dad dumped the coupons with us and took off to have something at Cenang Beach. Haha.

The nasi lemak sambal was killer ! Omggg @.@

Don't we look alike ?

MANGROVE CRUISE ! *another bimbotic tone*

We basically saw different types of mangrove trees. It was pretty interesting, this is also where I found out that I sucessfully achieved 7As in my PMR ! Now I have emotional ties with mangrove swamps. :'D

They called this the crocodile cave. We also went to a bat cave ! Ruban said he saw one flying right above my head when he flashed the torch light. Other than the bats there wasn't much we could do there, except getting chased by monkeys. Haha.

We had lunch on a floating restaurant. Like it was literally on floats with no stilts. So everytime a boat passes by fast, all the boats there would start rocking lightly as well as the restaurant. Ooooh ! I also got the honour too pee on the floating restaurant's floating toilet. Now how wicked is that, right ?

Those were just scary. They just liked to jump out of the water a lot. O_O

Yes, we got to pick the fish. Wheee.

Later in the evening we decided to drive down to Tanjung Rhu, where they had this amazing secluded beach there. There isn't much of a crowd here 'cause its pretty far from the main town.

This beach was much more shelly. And trust me, you are bound to find many interesting things here in the water like how I found a hermit crab. Since it was Christmas eve, all of the tourists in the hotel decided to gather that night and sing a couple of Christmas songs together before it got too late.

Day 3.

UNDERWATER WORLD ! *unenthusiastic bimbo tone*

We managed to see a more unique perspective of aquatic animals.

I like jellyfish. Their fun too stare at and the best part is, the dont stare back !

I have a favourite fish now. Our flight back was at 2pm, so we were off to the airport after our little visit to the Underwater World.

Did I have fun ? Yes. Do the turtles really bite ? I dont know.

This is Kiru. Out of 2009, into 2010.

See you guys then.

Friends In Arcades

Considering the fact a lot of teamwork and effort was put into the past three weeks to make Samarpanam 2009 ( pictures will be up soon, hopefully ) a sucess as it turned out to be on the 19th, all of us decided to go have some fun at Midvalley earlier today.

First stop, the arcade ! :D Theva and me seemed the most keen on this one. We spent a good hour or two there, just trying out all of the stuff there including the out of order machines. Not like they had labels saying the machines couldn't be used. o_O

Woo, go Theva ? Go Sarvin ? What the hell is Prem doing in the third picture, haha.

Priya & Shankar watching Theva play. :o

I was pretty good at that shooting game thing. Maybe I destined for snipers and machineguns. -gasp

NAAAAAAH.

We dropped off Theva & Tivya at the South Court and decided to go get some sundaes. Mmm.

Gayathiri look adorable in this picture with her McFlurry. I belanja-ed three fellas their sundaes, better appreciate it. ;D

" Kiru : What did I do ? "

Chocolate sundaes ftw !

Sarvin insisted we go bowling before I leave. So, we headed to the bowling alley. Those bowling shoes really stink. :S

I played a couple of times then felt lazy and let Khiran do the rest of the bowling for me. Thanks for scoring for me over and over, Khiran eventhough I didn't really ask you to. Hehe.

Everyone decided abandon the game to send me off at about 2pm. Aren't they sweetest ? :'D Haha. I'm going to miss these guys so much. Three weeks wasn't long, but the period of time barely matters when you instantly start feeling like family.
