About The Wako

My photo
Who's too chicken to dance in public ? Who's too chicken to dip bananas in spicy sauce ? Who's too chicken to parade around with their underwear as headwear ? Not me.

Made it

It was my first new year's spent in the emergency ward of a hospital in Ipoh. I had five different shots and a line drawn into my right hand but it wasn't too bad since my own uncle who is a respected surgeon was there treating me for.. food poisoning. The first of January wasn't too much of a blast for me but I was relieved I didn't have to spend anymore time locked up in my aunt's washroom with the tap running.

Sometimes we can brood about not getting to watch the fireworks for new year's or not being able to go for a party but the best thing to do is to be happy with the people we have around us to enjoy that moment with even if it's at the crappiest burger stall down the street.

Lets keep the love alive for the rest of 2011! Happy new year everbodyyyy. Oh god.. back to school tomorrow haha.

Whoopsi-Daisy!

Last weekend's Facilitators' Camp turned out to be more like a 72 hour holiday at Sugam Karnatica. 12 good friends I haven't caught sight of for the past year, a big house and no "lights-out" time -endless fun! The highlight for the weekend though was discovering on a lovely Sunday evening while rolling around the gentle grass that we had fluent-tamil-speaking chinese neighbour while ... actually cracking a few jokes about him thinking he wouldn't understand. I gotta say, what an awakening to the diversified world we have now!

Floater

Since I've been up and about lately, I haven't had much time to tap out something perhaps delicious ? My life's been a daze and somehow I do think I'm getting the best out of this oblivion. It's a relief to wake up in the morning planning out your own schedule -to go swimming, to take a walk, to get fat on tacos. It's all you ! Somehow this would work out better after half of us apply for driver's license.

I also attended a few parties over the weekend. The semi-motive of yesterday's potluck gathering was to provide us a simple briefing on the end-year camp for 2010, the main motive was to eat (naturally). I'm definitely looking forward to it coming December just because of it's theme which I would say is something I can relate to and not hard for you guys to guess either ! No ... it's not about underwears if that came to mind to make things clear haha.

I better go take my shower before the next ep of Castle starts and if you haven't heard of the show I would be speechless. Adios for now friends ? If you are my friends. Oh gosh hope I don't have haters. I think people would be the safest term ...

Lets Say It's Easy

The finals can be considered over by now. I'm just expecting to pass everything this time around. :)

And I've been away long enough to almost forgot how to sign into Blogger. How hard can youprobablythinkimgonnatellyoumypasswordherebutimnot to forget, right ?

My shoulders have loosened up a little ever since last Friday when I knocked out for 14 hours straight. Pure serenity I tell you. But I know I can't beat some of my other homies, they hibernate !

Time to get started on that bucket list !

Pimp's Night

Since this evening's weather has it's best intentions on drawing me into dreamland again, I'm going to go against it ! By possibly transmitting whatever energy I have left from a little sleep deprivation last night into blogging.

All hail the sacred word that hasn't been heard for a while now !

The past few weeks have been heavy but at least it knocks out a little laziness in me before the finals begin soon enough. So, I'm just going to save the slackish activities to savour during the end-year break. However, I did have a good time once again the last time I was out with my peeps especially for one of them in particular.

It was mah chinese indian attemptful best friend's 16th ! *inside joke*

George the awesomeness let us win free dessert & fried mac n' cheese !

Daniel was just more into the game than Soon's talking about waiting tables at Dave's, haha.

Yes that is actually rice under the shrimp & broccoli, nyummm

Kiru : I'm hotter than that sauce
Shar : Oooh, I like that ;)

Thank you for such a fun night Cindi ! You know we love you ! Eh, when's my salary coming in arh ? haha

Dreamers Get The Best

Go ahead and ask me what my dream is, I would say something silly to make you laugh but deep down inside I would secretly re-question myself ... " What is my dream ? " I want to make my own music, own a restaurant while living on a yacht so I can dive in the ocean for my own fish. Somehow these are the only goals I've developed. If I don't get this I'd pick the other. I'm allowing myself to be exposed to as much of risk I could receive just by being that flexible. If it makes me happy it goes, so lets carry on the legacy normally discovered in History classes of sitting aimlessly by the window to keep dreaming ! There's no rush unless you're forty-five without a job.

Catch The Sun !

Kula Shaker were down in KL performing and how could I miss out on that ? I know I've only been listening to this guys after Dom told me two weeks before but last night was definitely worth it. Now, I'm just more hooked on to them ... haha

We left the house at about 6:30pm then reached Life Centre within an hour amazingly.

My uncle was so excited about playing Need For Speed on his new iPhone, guess he had a better time in the traffic jam than me haha.

We were staring at that for about half an hour. Ooh pretty blue smoke.

That's the cafe- like-VIP section a level above us. I was down at the mosh pit receiving the direct energy of the music. :D

It got scary when the guy in front of me started jumping cause he was so tall ! There were mostly indie people, hippies and twenty year olds among the crowd haha.

The place was packed but even being on time we managed to stand right in front. About less than two feet away from the stage, less than two feet away from Crispian. ;)

The first few songs got the crowd the singing and dancing a little but by the time they played Hey Dude & Hush, it was hard not to jump like a hyperactive kid with a sugar rush ! Wohoo.

Really salute the drummer he did gooooooood !

Kula Shaker saved one of their biggest hits Govinda for last. The whole song isn't in English but I am sure that it's about praising the Gods. I did kind of enjoy that considering I had no idea what I was singing haha.

It was an awesome show. Thank you, Kula Shaker !
Even my uncle loved them having no idea of what they sound like at all until he saw them perform yesterday.
