As the nail polish has started fading off the tips of my fingernails I'm aware it's time to pick another colour to give them a make over and to update you guys with what's going on. Last Thursday, Slushé had a jam session and we came up with a few new covers which are up on my Facebook profile. Catch The Sun !

Kula Shaker were down in KL performing and how could I miss out on that ? I know I've only been listening to this guys after Dom told me two weeks before but last night was definitely worth it. Now, I'm just more hooked on to them ... haha

We left the house at about 6:30pm then reached Life Centre within an hour amazingly.

My uncle was so excited about playing Need For Speed on his new iPhone, guess he had a better time in the traffic jam than me haha.

We were staring at that for about half an hour. Ooh pretty blue smoke.

That's the cafe- like-VIP section a level above us. I was down at the mosh pit receiving the direct energy of the music. :D

It got scary when the guy in front of me started jumping cause he was so tall ! There were mostly indie people, hippies and twenty year olds among the crowd haha.

The place was packed but even being on time we managed to stand right in front. About less than two feet away from the stage, less than two feet away from Crispian. ;)

The first few songs got the crowd the singing and dancing a little but by the time they played Hey Dude & Hush, it was hard not to jump like a hyperactive kid with a sugar rush ! Wohoo.

Really salute the drummer he did gooooooood !

Kula Shaker saved one of their biggest hits Govinda for last. The whole song isn't in English but I am sure that it's about praising the Gods. I did kind of enjoy that considering I had no idea what I was singing haha.

Even my uncle loved them having no idea of what they sound like at all until he saw them perform yesterday.

Flow With Me

Yesterday, while chilling in the Prefect's Room with the rest of my Slushés we took advantage of the sudden urge to perform for crowd at the Speaker's Corner, thanks to our spontaneity. Most bands start off with street performing, cafés or competitions but we do it differently I guess. Haha. Sometimes I'm happy we get these crazy rushes to do some things we'd probably chicken out if we took some time to think through it. Talking about rushing ...

Shall we follow our spontaneity more !

A Different City Every Night

I'm starting to have the feeling that I should get a planner. I have got coursework to complete, events to plan -including a camp-, got picked to go for day trips to caves ? And the usual such as preparing for mid-terms. It's not that I don't have all of this under control, it's just that I don't own the best memory.

Anyways ! Has anyone heard of Bruno Mars ? I could be a possible fan of him in a matter of days really. He's the guy with the lovely voice in remix for Beautiful Girls called Nothing On You with B.o.B and he also featured in Travie's latest song Billionaire. He has done several other collabs but none that really lasted on mainstream as I remember. But nonetheless, this guy is jazzy & smooth that I honestly think that it's a must all of you indie-lovers to check his music out ! 8D

But I think, whatever that gives you self satisfaction should be achieved when you can. It's like busting a move on someone you've been admiring for months. You don't get the guts to do it until this one fine day where you've builded up enough confidence to do so.

Third Eye Blind's out with a new album ! I don't think it's available in Malaysia yet though 'cause I tried to go find for it in 1u yesterday. And all I said after getting out of each store was " This store sucks ". But you could still get it off iTunes with the help of Momma's little golden rectangular friend which particularly can be found in the card holder in her bag.

Ohh, did I mention that I held the elevator for this lady with a trolley for almost 7 minutes 45 seconds and she didn't even freaking thank me ? Alright, that was completely irrelevant. Explains how my mind works at most random when I'm not feeling too good.

If you don't feel like a superhero inside, how could you possibly show it outside ? Now to generate all the energy into positive perspective it all begins with your inner thoughts. It's simple really, for example ; Your at camp & there's the wall climbing activity going on. First your all pumped up about it. But after watching several others struggling while being strapped on to the harness, it gets you thinking twice " Well, that looks awfully painful ". Now, that's the kind of negative energy almost EVERYONE seems to vulnerable to. It's sad really, 'cause your letting an unconfirmed thought take over your future actions.

Remember, that the mind has control over what you do to. The more you think you can't, you can't. But flip that the other way around and watch what could possibly happen. One word, amazing.

I've developed a craze for Bjork.

Just like many people I know, I found her weird, crazy & just so extremely hard to understand. But I just found out you can never connect to Bjork's music until you find that one song. That one song you can relate to so perfectly. Perhaps by the lyrics, music, video or something else. After that, there's absolutely no end to it. You just want more and more ... then you get sort of get the hang of her music and her out-of-this-world style but you tend to love & not only like everything about her.

A couple of months back I picked out this book from MPH. Only started reading The Bermudez Triangle during the holidays. Not kiddin' it's a really funny and nice book about everlasting friendship. But I happened to miss out the part in the synopsis where it mentioned two of the three besties fell in love. And yes their both girls.

Personally I don't think it's wrong to be bisexual, lesbian or gay. Their just ordinary people with a unique taste in love compared to most of us. Nobody should be judged be alien-ed away from a society just because their different. Remember, one big happy family?

And talking about lesbians...

You know when you really try to ignore the lyrics. It'd sound something like. Da-bee-dee-da-doo-doo-dee. And I love the title of Katy Perry's new album, Ur So Gay! Haha. Going to The Curve now. Let the celebrations for Father's Day begin,baby! :D

Unique Musical

Didn't have time to talk about Jason Mraz's latest album last week. And I happen to get a copy ;)
It might not be an all acoustic album but most of the songs sound really good. He did a fantastic job with the lyrics once again. A song with good lyrics makes the listener pay not much attention to it's music. That doesnt mean the music wasn't good. It was nice too. Haha.

Everything went fine, till it got a little cold and the cheese started to smell. Guess the my theory " More cheese, more fun! " doesn't really suit for everything =/ So, i settled for my favourtie chakoi instead. Thank God Mom bought some on her way back from DU.

Guess what? I'm a CEMPAKIAN now. It was rather depressing at first when our names were announced in the hall, Cindi would be in Teratai for this 2008. It isn't a big deal being prefects we have more outdoor activities together than in class. Koko is also a great time to hangout. I've decided to accept this as a chance to improve in my studies and to get to know people. Not that I haven't but just a little bit more. Cempaka has pride, is one of the 1st classes and got gaya mah :)
